Specialist asbestos surveys and asbestos risk assessments are integral parts of our asbestos management services.

We provide an impartial and reliable asbestos survey to identify the presence of asbestos containing materials (ACM) and support this with dependable recommendations.

Where asbestos is discovered we will provide a detailed description of the location supported by photographs, identification of the type of asbestos, the level of risk associated with that material and a report of remedial options. We will also suggest priorities and provide cost estimates. We will also clearly state where no action is required.

Crossways in-house laboratory Our building survey reports are presented in   ENVACS (Environmental Archive Control and Storage) format. This is a computer generated database system designed particularly for asbestos and building material hazards management. ENVACS records full details of locations with results, analysis, risk assessments, recommended actions, statistics, photographs, plans and drawings resulting in a comprehensive, concise and clear report.

We aim to give peace of mind to our clients.

Our in-house laboratory, shown in our picture, is fully accredited (UKAS Testing Laboratory Accreditation No 2649 - Standard ISO17025:2005).

We can analyse samples quickly and give our clients a rapid response.

Asbestos Survey Types

There are three types of asbestos survey that we offer :-

Type 1 asbestos survey

Primarily a visual inspection to identify suspected asbestos containing materials (ACMs). This will include wherever possible, roof voids, false ceilings, service ducts / shafts, lift shafts, etc.

Type 2 asbestos survey

Will include the visual inspections as in the Type 1 Asbestos Survey but will also include sampling and analysis of the suspected asbestos containing materials

Type 3 asbestos survey

Is the most comprehensive. The surveyor(s) endeavour to locate all ACMs including, where necessary, removing fabric of the building in order to expose potential problem areas hidden from view.

We will happily advise you which asbestos survey is most suitable for your particular circumstances.
